Command the Commercial P1000

FedEx Ground relies on elite Independent Service Providers (ISPs) to execute millions of deliveries daily. We are actively seeking experienced commercial operators for the role of FedEx Ground Step Van Driver. In this position, you will graduate from standard cargo vans and take the wheel of a massive P1000 or P1200 commercial step van. This vehicle allows you to transport significantly higher volumes of freight, combining dense residential drops with heavy commercial/B2B deliveries. If you have the spatial awareness to navigate city streets in a 22-foot truck and the hustle to clear 150+ stops a day, this is your ultimate logistics career.

Step Van Operations

• Commercial Driving Mastery: Safely navigate a massive, wide-body step van through tight suburban cul-de-sacs and congested commercial loading zones. Master the use of oversized mirrors and backup cameras.
• High-Volume Freight Execution: Utilize the expansive walk-in cargo area to organize your daily manifest. You will systematically load and retrieve packages weighing up to 150 lbs, utilizing heavy-duty hand trucks.
• DOT Compliance: As a step van operator, you are bound by Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will conduct strict pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and manage your digital Hours of Service (HOS).

Requirements
